  • Hair cutting has 3 basic techniques on 3 different foundational shapes. Understand how to choose what technique and shape for the desired outcome. Learn how and why as well as when to change your finger angle and body position. Each of these items will change the outcome dramatically. Master the foundation of hair cutting, become confident with skill.

    • Sectioning based on the shape of the cut.

  • Bobs are the rage.  Let’s explore a few techniques,  from soft and less structured to old school precision cutting.  Working with graduation on all 3 shapes so you learn the differences and how working vertically, diagonally, and horizontally. Each cut is not only salon friendly but also an exercise is discipline and precision.

    • Different types of techniques in creating a bob.

    • How to use the comb and scissor together to create your shape.

    • What type of hair that layering works best on.

    • Importance of body position and discipline

Let’s explore a few techniques,  of both Layers and Graduation and from there a combination of both. Learn the differences and how working vertically, diagonally, and horizontally can change your results. Each cut is not only salon friendly but also an exercise is discipline and precision.

    Lets face it curly hair can be Intimidating, but you can choose to make them liberating. Stephen Adams from Moxie Hair Salon in Minneapolis and his educators will help you unleash your creative side, and give you the confidence to rock those curly guests out.  This class will showcase a variety  of cutting techniques so that you, the stylist, know how and why to cut curls wet or dry, going beyond basic curly cutting skills, attendees will leave their class feeling ready to take on the world of CURLS. 

  • No more guessing after this class.  A complete knowledge class on the chemistry of hair, color, bleach, toners, and more.  Learning the foundations of chemistry will help with understanding how to formulate and then how to recommend what our clients need.  Swatching is huge when learning color and the differences of each type of coloring tools that we use. First we get to see how theory works and also the difference of each type of color. Make your blondes be better with understanding toning and bleaching the hair.  Let's keep the integrity of our clients' hair.  Knowledge is power.
